Out of the Dorm Closet advocates for Higher Ed LGBTQ equality.

It is our quest to visit as many schools as possible, in an effort to learn what colleges and universities are offering for their LGBTQ students, their communities, and allies; to provide informational and fun facts for prospective students; to create a resource to assist schools in generating LGBTQ supportive environments; and ultimately to improve the lives of LGBTQ people by working to increase understanding and encourage the adoption of LGBTQ-inclusive policies and practices.

Our vision is summed up in the words of Harvey Milk, “All young people, regardless of sexual orientation or identity, deserve a safe and supportive environment in which to achieve their full potential.”
